And there are many more error messages related to this MSVCP / MSVCR file.

These errors generally occur in two conditions. First, when we finish installing a new program and want to run the program. Or the second, when a virus infected computer is cleaned up by an antivirus program.

What caused it?

This can occur due to the runtime library file which is needed to run a program is not found in the system. The file with the .dll (dynamic link library) format is part of the Microsoft Visual C ++ redistributable that is needed to execute programs made with the Microsoft Visual C ++ programming language (development of the C language).

Errors can occur due to Microsoft Visual C ++ redistributables that have not been installed on the computer. Or it can also be installed, but the computer is infected with a virus and infects all system files (including files with .dll extension). In the end these files will be deleted or quarantined by antivirus.

Then what’s the solution?

To fix these error, the steps are quite easy, download and install Visual C ++ (vcredist). Visual C ++ can be downloaded on the Official Microsoft Website, some Software Developers also provide Visual C ++ packages along with their program’s installation file. Some other not provide it or just provide a link for you to download and install it manually. Especially for Game Developers, they will almost certainly include the Visual C ++ installer file along with their game installer.

But since Visual C++ comes with so many versions, it will be very troublesome if you install it one by one, because every different .dll file requires a different Visual C ++ installation. The only instant solution is to download and install AIO runtimes. Only by installing AIO Runtimes once, all versions of Visual C ++ will be installed on your computer.

Where to download it? For Windows Vista, Windows 7, 8 and 10 users, please click here. For you guys who use Windows XP, you can download AIO Runtimes here.
